The Massive Miniature World of Airbnb

Cirkus teamed up with TBWA and Sixtoes Singapore to create an epic, 60-second miniature train ride for Airbnb that proves wherever you go, you can feel right at home. Directed by the visionary duo Christian Greet and Norman Yeend, this film showcases how the service makes the world feel just a little bit smaller by allowing travelers to live like locals.

We skipped the CG entirely for a "handmade" approach, using out-of-the-box mechanical transitions and high-detail environments to keep the journey whimsical, artistic, and authentic. From snow-capped mountains to lush farms, the film uses symmetrical aesthetics and shifting scales to guide the viewer through a fantastic landscape. Our team even utilized technical ingenuity to push the boundaries of model-making, such as bringing a treehouse down to the train to overcome the challenge of a dramatic incline.
